axles

The reason i am selling them is i have to many 4x4's. The 87 dually i have i am going to take it apart and use the 60 - 70 combo and put them on the k5. I am also going to put the 6.2 diesel in the k5. Gas prices suck! The axles i am selling have only been done for about 2 years, as far as miles, 4000-5000.

Any idea how crazy 5.13's would make my rig run? I have a 383 stroker w/ around 420hp and I'm only running 35's (37 max). Should I look for something with smaller gears? I use this thing for daily and freeway driving, I don't want it to be crawling along the 5. :D Thanks. I'm in CA, and interested in 1 ton running gear.

I have tsl 39.5's, stock 350, turbo 400, 205 and i can drive it on the freeway passing cars no problem. The higher horse power should be good with 37's, only 1.5" difference.

Do you have overdrive? Go up to 37" tires and without OD you would be running about 3500 RPM at 75 mph. With 37" tires and OD you would be running about 2550 RPM on the freeway at 75 mph.

www.4lo.com has all the gear ratio calculators you could need.

That's my problem, I have a turbo350 trans. No OD. So it's another touchy issue.
