D-tent cable adjustment

Isnt there a baseline adjustment to start with? On my old camaro we used to pull the cable to the firewall as tight as possible and then slowly push the throtle to the floor and that would give a reasonable baseline.

Is it still down the same way on the k5 Blazer?

what tranny is it ?
it depends on this

if its a 2004r or 700r4 or thm250c then you depress the lockbutton and pull the cable housing back towards firewall all the way, then let go of button and open the throttle by hand all the way wide open, it will pull cable out and make clicking noises

if you dont set this right then you can burn the trans up, period

there is only one setting and no such thing as adjustment on these
