D44 8-Lug Hubbs Question

I bought a pair of D44 8Lug hubs from another member here and it turns out that they are the external locking hubs rather than internal which are currently on my K5 that I was going to reuse. My question is that is it going to be more cost effective to change to external hubs and are they as strong and good as internal or should I try to find different internal locking hubs elsewhere? What is your opinion fellas?

Yeah, I'd stick with the internal, small-hub style. The big ones might be stronger (I've no idea) but as they were only on older axles (err, like 70 or 72 through 74 maybe?) they're hard to find stuff for. Plus the small-hub outers interchange with 10 bolts, which can be convenient.
