Looking for a set of front dana 44 hubs with the 8 lug 3/4T pattern. I have heard they will fit on a 10 bolt, is that correct?

Thanks

10 bolt & D44 hubs are the same as long as we are talking Chevy axles, open knuckle Dana 44's, & internal lockouts.

I owned an 89 K5, and installed a 3/4T D44, 8 lug front axle from a 1976 Chevy truck, if I recall those hubs were not inner splined, but rather the outter spline set up. They were shorter and the Warns I put on it were the outter spline, tapered looking lock outs....like you would see on an older Jeep?

Naturally I can see why I need an inner spline hub to match the 10B's inner spline set up. I guess the hub designs differed going back in years?

Thanks

So....anyone out there have a spare set they will part with?

The older hubs with the external lockouts need the small bearing spindles and a different stub shaft. The newer hubs with internal lockouts use the same large bearing spindle and stub shafts as the 10 bolts.

Jeep J-20 1978-79ish internal spline bearing hubs are the same too. Sometimes they can be found real cheap.
