Is the passenger side knuckle already machined? Is that what you mean by no arm?

No. The pass side is not machined. I was refering to the steering arm (drivers side) on the axle for sale was swapped onto my 8-lug D44 when I did the swap. Hope that helps.

I am deployed to Iraq could I pay you 400 to deliver both to a house in San Diego? If you value your time as much as I do mine that would be fair if you would like more let me know. I am not a sham artist by the way just a guy deployed to Iraq for the fourth time trying to get some parts put together for a truck I have never even seen please help if you can. Oh and if you could send some pics to [email protected] that would be great

$400 seems fair. SD is a little over an hour and 15 minutes from my house. Who is in SD that would receive the axles from me? Do they have a cherry picker or is the other person strong enough to lift the other end of the axles out of my truck? I would want payment to clear before I made the trek to SD though. Give me a day or so to get pics as my wife is the audio visual nerd in the family and she will have to take the pics and download them for me.

The person in SD is my long time friend. I just bought a blazer in Bakersfield and once he goes to pick it up he will be storing it for me until I get back from this place. He is the size of a blazer and shouldn't have to hard a time getting the axles out with some help. I would have no problems sending paypal prior to you making the drive as long as I could get you sending me an email kind of like a receipt saying that our arrangement was complete. I can send that after I see the pics, you trying to get rid of anything else?

I should be able to get the pics today and posted tonight. Paypal is fine but let me look into my account first as it has been forever since I have used it and not sure of the password, etc.
Other things I have:

York Compressor: Great condition with partially made bracket for OBA. $50.00. No pic of it avail but will take some tonight.

Aluminum "short" Valve covers for SBC, tig welded and real nice. $100.00

8 lug swap includes: Hubs, rotors, backing plates, no calipers or Lockouts. $100.00

Rims from my 1/2ton axles: I have 5 Mickey Thompson Classic II rims 15"x10" with Chevy 6 lug pattern. One is from my spare tire that was never mounted other than on the spare tire carrier. The spare is not an identicle rim as the other four but would take a real trained eye to notice the minor differences. Still a great match though. Two of the rims have some rock rash but I am in the process of sanding and buffing them out and is coming out about as good as new. These are the only pics I have on my work computer. Can get more if needed. These are real nice overall. $ 350.00

I just want to make sure that these are the two axles that I need to convert to 3/4 ton front and rear? How many lugs are on the axles right now? If they are 6 lugs front and rear I might take the rims from you if they are no too beat up.

Ohhh, I see. The axles are 1/2 ton 6 lug. The rear is a 12 bolt 6 lug and the front is a D44 6 lug. The Rear 12 bolt will not work to make 3/4 ton. But the front is a good candidate for a 3/4 ton swap. especially since it has the passangers side flat top knuckle to do crossover steering. I do have the 8 lug hubs to do the swap if you like as shown above in the prior post.

The rims are actually in really good condition even with the "rash". I am just cleaning them up a bit so they show nicer and because I'm a bit anal on my trailer queens beauty. And thanks for the compliments on the blazer. Hope this clears up what I have. Sorry for any confusion.

Argh! I was hoping to get both axles from the same person I didn't know that the 12bolt wasn't a 3/4 ton I am sorry if I have wasted your time but hey, Free bump to the top thank you for all of your help and when I get home from here and go out to cali to get my truck I will buy you a beer.

Hey, not a problem. I'd hate to sell you the wrong axles. You stationedin San Diego? Thanks for the service to our country too.

No I grew up in San Diego and loved every second of it. I was even able to stay in oceanside when I was in the Marines which was great but as soon as I swapped over to the army they sent me to texas, and as we all know texas is not california :wink1:

Hey bub I am back in this with you I was trying to get a blazer parted out to me but he wanted to much money for the thing. The wheels you are getting rid of fit on these axles correct?

The wheels I have for sale are the ones that were mounted on the axles I am selling before I went to 3/4 ton and had to buy new 8 lug rims.

For clarification: the Rims are 6 on 5.5. The chevy pattern for half ton 4x4.

I really want to take all of this off of your hands it is obvious you take care of your stuff. I am not sure I have seen someone that makes 6 lug axles for the 14 bolt is that possible? I will no doubt take the front off of your hands and I am still trying to get authorization from lipstick 6 for the rear and the wheels :o
