D44 Carrier?

what is the ring and pion gear ratio to were a dana 44 carrier has to be changed i have 3.08 and need 4.10 do i have to replace carrier?

i belive the split is a 3.42 and 3.73. but i could be wrong. you should be able to order thick 4.10 gears is all.

Yes you will need a new carrier, the split is 3.73/4.10

If you are dealing with an open carrier, you'd be better off going to a junkyard and getting a good used carrier, ring & pinion. You have to set the gears back up anyways. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

By the way, the carrier split is 3.73-down & 3.92-up (numerically). /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
