Ok I know y'all have beat this to death. This time last year I re geared, and installed a Truetrac in my 12 Bolt rear. I'm running 35's and really just ride dirt roads. So far the Truetrac is great for what I do. I was thinking about installing some type of traction aid to the front. What's my best bet? Besides a D60. I read where some guys on here have put a Truetrac in the front? Thanks for any help. As always!

To be honest..... I don't, I went out last weekend and drove up some hills that were a little slick. I did fine, I was just playing around with the idea. I had a grizzly ready to go in the front when I did the rear. I needed a new case so that set me back about 250.00. So I canned the front at that time. Was thinking if I got some Christmas from the wife.....

*Used car salesman slimy, shameless plug*

$375 for a brand new 4.56 ^ Detroit Trutrac in the for sale section :)

I have an Eaton posi up front, and it pisses me off....
Get's the job done, but a Posi is a Posi, ya know?

Just my opinion...

I think you can get away with not having a lock'd front.
Christ, look at what Chris does w/ his open front 60...

But, I'll never tell someone to not upgrade, either.

i put an aussie locker in my d44 a few weeks ago, so far so good

Where did you buy it from?

i'm pretty sure i got it right from aussie's website, if i remember right it was little over $300

the install was a little trickier than i thought it would be, the carrier has to be pulled and the ring gear taken off. according to the instructions the gears don't have to be set up though as long as everything goes back together the same way. i've only got about 5 hours in 4wd since the install and everything works great.

I put an Aussie locker in my front a couple years ago and love it. I ordered mine straight from Aussie. I called and ordered it though. :thumb:
