Just about done compiling parts and prepping to rebuild and install 1-tons. The 14b is ready except for the hub/drum install since I need to attach the parking brake. D60 is in pieces. Here's almost all the parts. Not shown are the brake drums/discs, lockout hubs, axle shafts or long tie rod.

I'd have all of that strung all over my 30x40 shop instead of neatly organized in one spot. Looking good!

Mistake #1, $40: Installing lower bearing races without seals. :doah: I can't take it this far and installed banged up races.

Okay, I need to make sure I get this right. On the lower part from the top down I think it goes: metal dust cap, race, bearing, seal (metal/rubber one). In my kit I have another rubber seal, and it's not the kingpin seal. What is the all rubber seal here?

That looks like the seal hat goes at the base of the upper king pin.

That one came in the box with the lower stuff, and there's a kinpin seal with the upper stuff. However, looking at the write-up on pirate, it looks to me like maybe this one is the GM kinpin seal and the other one (bigger) is the Ford style. Make sense? They may have just packaged it this way to confuse me.

I installed that under the kingpin. Looks like same kit. The lower grease seal is all you need on the lower knuckle. Yeah, I had to check the D60 bible to be sure. It threw me off too.

Nothing wrong with 35s and 1 tons. That's what I'm running. I did go crossover though.

What size wheels are you going to run?

Gonna go with 16" wheels I think. I prefer more sidewall instead of the pimp look.
