I was looking at an up and coming auction, and saw this 89 3500. http://community.webshots.com/album/283563674NYexhe
The front pumpkin had a 60F on the right front side. The ubolts and steering is what ID's the 60, right? I want to be able to ID these in the future. I believe the rear is a 14FF, right? It's got the bolts on the end of the shafts. Also, is that a 205 with a 700R4? The truck only has 55k miles on it.

I can't confirm the tranny from the pics, but that sure looks like a 205 to me..... a cast iron case, and the small round cover in the middle has three bolts in it.

Sure looks like a D60/14BFF combo to me.... the only question now is how cheap can you get it??? It might be nice to know what gears are in those axles ahead of time, but for the right price even THAT won't matter much.

Good luck.

yep 205 fixed yoke in there and its most likly a th400 thats what is in them back then. and if shift indicator is prnd21 then 3 speed and if prn(d)321 then 4 speed but its most positivly a th400 for that truck..

we had a 91 crew cab and it had a 4L80E backed up by a 205 and D60/14ff so if OD tranny possibly an 80E

4L80E's started in '91, in heavy duty 3/4's and all 1-ton's, I do believe.

Anyway, I do know that 1991 was the first year you'd see a 4L80E in a Burb or R/V truck (like your six pack) so the '89 would have a TH400.
