I am thinking of upgrading my front and rear to a d60 and a 14b ff. my 71 jimmy has the stock d44 and 12bolt right now my question is will the brake compnents transfer from the old setup to the new? or will i have to get a all new setup? it will be kinda the first step in the transfermation from stock to a 450-500hp possibly overdrived, 38" tire daily driver. thinking of running a 4.88 or a 5.12 gear and electric lockers. also im open to opinions on different choices of axles and such. i know ive said i could tow with it but i am buying a beat up 96 1 ton for cheap to tow with.

Brakes aren't going to transfer over (AKA nope)

60/14 is as good a combo as you'll find.

I think that covered your questions.

Good Deal?
About right. Disc brake conversion, 4.56's, rear detroit.......Not a killer deal but not bad

That's a terrible deal...unless money is falling out of your ass. I paid $1700 for the exact same set and then spent another $150 on rear disc's. I didn't get a great deal...just average.
