My friend has these from a M1008. They have about 142k on them and they where used hard. i saw the truck it they came out of, the bed was waved. I think that means it had a lot of weight in it. Also there is a good amount of rust on them. What I need to know is since they probably need to be rebuilt, what kind of cost would I be looking at to get them all done and under a sub?

Thx mike

if they are just a little rusty on the outside that is a hell of a deal. dont waste your time having a shop do the install tho. just do it yourself. it will be cheaper anyway, just buying all the nessicary tools, and plus you will know how to repair it if you are on the trail and something snaps.

I know its a good deal, but i have no idea what it will cost to rebuild them. anyone i have a idea? the only thing i might do is put a no spin in the 60.

thx mike

you can get away with just bolting them in and replacing the TRE and DLE or you can go all out. My 60 cost me about $2800 when it was all said and done. The 14bff was about $900 when it was done. that is with a regear and locker for the 14 and a locker for the d60

What is TRE and DLE? How much just for a rebuild? i think i just might have welded up.

Mike

for the dana 60/14 you can build them up for a reasnoble price and upgrade later.

if you dont want to regear right away, then just leave the gears where they are for now.

same with lockers, they arent nessicary, but they do help alot.

most 60s and 14b that i have seen for sale or bought by themselves didnt need much of a rebuild, just some new fluid, new brakes, bearings and seals.

if they came from a military truck it should have a detroit in the rear and 4.56's, i see no reason to regear

600.00 ?

Buy'em and rebuild what's needed. Cost? Can't say for certain, but that's a DEAL.

you know... they are actually alot of work....

how about you give me the name of this lad who wants to sell the set to you. maby i can work him down on the price some..... :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

i ddidnt see that they were froma m1008

buy those suckers, you will get 4:56 gears and a rear detroit!!

Yea, i am going to grab them, and if or when i have the cash i will rebuild them

thx mike
