It looks like these just might make it into production...check out this pirate thread

Some serious coin, but they'd have a lifetime warranty and I doubt you'd ever need to use it anyways.

yea I read about them.
You have to take the knuckle off to get them in.
I would be pissed though if one ever did break and you had to take the knuckle off.
Sound like they are super strong though.
I wonder if the actual shafts are any stronger then anything on the market.

Yeah, breaking one on the trail would not be a fun time.

However, if you think about it, you pretty much have to strip a knuckle to get a shaft out, taking the knuckle off wouldn't be that ridiculous. I would think that it'd pretty much destroy the knuckle and C if the bell exploded though.

The shafts are 35 spline 300M so I would assume they'd be comparable to CTM's junk. However I've never heard of anyone even breaking a Superior shaft, much less a CTM shaft. Time will tell, I'm not ready to overhaul my axles yet so I'll see how the tests go.

One other nice thing about these is turning radius, if you can clear your tires, these will turn a lot sharper than u-joints.

Friend of mine told me that there is an existing CV/Birf for D60's. It's used in industrial equipment. He has seen them in person, but I've never found a listing from casual searches.

Yep, I've heard of open knuckle D70 front axles using "con-vel joints", which "supposedly" is different and "stronger" than u-jointed shafts. Anyone know anything about this?

whats the Rear axle out of the Power Wagon. The person is telling me its a Dana 60 but i don't know if it is a good one or not. ITs a 2wd wagon... Thanks.
