I am getting ready to put the D60 in my truck and I need to know what size the 2 bolts are that go though the spring plate and into the pumpkin. What size/thread/ and length? I am guessing they should be grade 8 right? I have a 6 inch lift on the truck.

They are 3/4" diameter corse thread bolts, i foget the thread count. The length will depend on the thickness of your spring pack. anywhere from 2" up. Yes you need grade 8 and if there is a gap between the spring plate and the perch you need to put in a sleeve to take up that space.

I just installed new Superlift u-bolts (#3418) on the '88 V30 with 6" springs and 1" zero-rates and the studs were the same size as the u-bolts....at 5/8" coarse thread into the pumpkin holes. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

craftsman (or any other reputable tool company) makes a stud extracter that works w/ a ratchet. they work great.
