D60 breather nipple

Hopefully a quick question - What size nipple to replace the breather on a GM d60? I need to replace the one that was in there.

1/8" pipe tap and good to go . no drilling or hole opening required . and its in there SOLID when done unlike press in tube before.

Finally got my diff cover off to change the fluid and can't seem to get the nipple (1/8 npt x 5/16 barb brass fitting) to start threading. Eventually i tried my little impact driver and ended up stripping a portion of the threads off. Any tips, or just keep at it?

Did you tap the hole first?

Yeah might be schmutz in the hole.


Did they ever put bastard metric threads in those?

there PRESS in from the factory . the hole is the correct size to TAP OUT to the 1/8" pipe thread .
