i just did a trade and ended up with a dana60 as soon as i get some cash i want to upgrade a few items. i am using it to replace a dana 44 set up with crossover steering 4.88's and a detroit. the only thing i'm concerned with is this axle came from a dualie. i saw a stub hub conversion on dynatracs web site that had stub axles, new locking hubs, calipers, and rotors. i really like the kit considering what it replaces the only problem is it cost around $1800 bucks! i was hoping to have less than that in the complete axle buildup. any suggestions, cheaper ideas would be greatly appreciated.

stub hub conversion...does that basically make it a SRW axle???? you can just swap the hubs onto your axle and your good to go....or run some H1 wheels, and spacers out back. your best bet would just be to find some single rear wheel hubs and throw those on your dually axle...the stub shafts are the same, so are the locking hubs and calipers....not sure on the rotors though...good luck!!!!

Stub hub conversions are for the Ford Superduty axles.

All you need to convert a DRW to SRW configuration are bearing hubs/rotors, thats it. Find someone here to swap the hubs/rotors and you're set. The most you can pay is just the shipping fee to get yours to the others door as he shall do the same to you.

If you need them now and don't mind spending some money, you can get some brand new ones from GM Parts Direct for under $350 to your door, for the pair.

i believe the kit i saw was for gm, they do sell a free spin hub conversion for ford superdutys that replaces the unit bearings and the price is about $100 cheaper.
