I want to remove the brake calipers on my D60 front. On my 10-bolt you just pop off the bolts. There aren't any bolts on this sucker though. How do I get them off?

1986 GMC Jimmy 6" springs 3" body, 38/15.5/15 Swampers, 14-bolt FF rear, Dana 60 front, 1991 front-end.

Look on the caliper toward the bottom on the side and there is a bolt that you need an allen wrench for. Take it out and then slide the clip out. You might need to perswade the clip since there is a flat steel spring type peice holding it.

Persuade= beat it with a hammer. Also, when you put it back in, put some loc tite on the allen bolt, but don't overtighten it or else you'll never get it back out.

Diesel

Shouldn't it be called uncommon sense?
