D60 caliper ?

I'm putting my D60 back together and got new calipers was wonder how you get the anti-rattle spring in? The shop manual isn't helping. Can I just leave it out.

I can't speak to the safety of leaving it out, but I have neve used one...

clips on the brake pad ear. and the tab end of the clip points in at the rotor. as it will also be a wear indicator. when its cliped on the pad ear install that end first in the bracket then pop the pad up and in the rest of the way.

the clip just drops on the pad ear basicly.

i have run with out them also. but its up to you.
