SO this guy contacs me about a d60 he has for sale. He saw my name on ebay and sent an email. here's what he said
"Heavy duty, 8 lug, part time, 3.54:1 gearing. Unit has been hot tanked, and rebuilt with all new bearings, seals, u joints and ball joints, sourced from either Spicer or A/C Delco. Does not include brake rotors, steering linkage or vacuum box. These can be found easily from a truck wrecking yard. Complete unit would sell for around 1200$. I want 600$. I bought it as a spare, but of course didn't need it."
I asked him what year it is and he said
"It was from a 1994+ 3500 series (dually). I bought both front and rear, the rear is in my truck. If you know how to tell, or want me to look for a code, I could do that. It must have been older that 2000. "
Could this be a d61 and this guy is trying to run a fast one on me? I know the d61s had high gear ratios.
