Let me start by saying that I tried a search and was not successful:confused:

What are my options (vendor wise) for cross over/high steer? The only one I know of is ORD and I want to compare. What do you run and why?

i run sky's kit..... just because it's the one i chose. i do have some of ORD's stuff though. great products. either way your good to go. do you have a zero rate in the front??? if so, and you wanna go high steer, you need to make sure you can clear the springs. i know i can't run highsteer on mine, or the tie rod will hit my springs.

ORD
SKY Manufacturing
Northwest fab
Parts Mike (Blazen Off Road sells his stuff)

Those are the vendors here I can think of real quick. I am sure I missed somebody. Browse through the vendor forum.

I run Sky's crossover but not highsteer stuff. Great Product at a Good Price as well.

Are you saying that you must have a Zero rate in order to run high steer?

I think he's saying you probably CAN'T run highsteer with zero rates. The tierod and the springs would be wanting to both occupy the same space! (Since the zero rate would put the springs higher off the axle, possibly into the tierod.)

Ballistic fabworks and Blue Torch fabworks also make hi-steer kits. I really like the ballistic kit, but its too much $ for me.

I am really impressed with NWF's workmanship, but customer service/response is little to none... and i got a second bill from UPS for border fees... thanks for the warning...

I placed an order on monday, talked to matt, he told me ahead of time there would be boarder fee and it was a COD deal. But he also told me they would call back later in the week with a tracking number, i called friday mid-day no one picked up so i left a message, no call. I also pm'd him on pirate 4x4 while he was online, no response. I'm a little dissapointed especially when I placed a $1,000 order

I got my kit from Sky Manufacturing, It took a couple weeks to get but customer service was second to none. I have a ORD 0 rate in the front and histeer and dont forsee any problems. The only thing I dont like is that the drag link is about 3/4 to an 1" to short IMO. Im just going to add another jam nut so that the TRE isnt sticking out so much.
Im going to go hydro assist adventually and I am now concerned with the histeer possibly breaking the factory d60 knuckles. Ive noticed alot of guys just went crossover and hydro assist.

Does anyone have the tube stats on the tierod/draglink stuff in Northwest Fab's kit?

Their arms look the best to me.. I also like the angle-in for tire/rim clearance..

Also, not an ideal strength setup, but I'm thinking a 1" arm spacer from Ballistic Fabworks would take care of the hi-steer/0-rate/spring issue if need be...

I'm more concerned about interferance between draglink and tierod from moving the axle forward an inch...

First - sorry for the hijack..
Second - not bashing NWF
Third - Exactly what i experienced... only i wasnt told of the border fee, or asked if i needed teh stud kit, or aware it cost that much to ship from canada... I too called several times, and asked for my tracking number emailed to me... left msgs etc... I only spent 440 - turned into 500...
I LOVE the steering arm, but not worth the lack of customer service / lack of communication... or added cost in shipping/fees, I too emailed with my thoughts on lack of customer service, and received NO response...
I will NEVER recommend them, and will tell anyone who i see considering them my thoughts.

To add insult to injury, ORD had their christmas sale on at teh tiem and was 40 cheaper...

Go SKY or ORD

Rant done.

i think that even with that ballistic spacer the arm is about the same as the sky arm...it's spaced up some, where the ballistic doesn't look like it is. i dunno though, maybe somebody will chime in.

actually sky's tre hole looks to be in the same spot as ballistics, ORD's to me... northwest fab is the only one i see that it looks like the tre hole is moved up, and in for that matter..

fwiw, I was refering to using ballistics spacer in conjunction with nwf's arm...

I'm wondering how well that spring eliminating, setscrew setup on Ballistics arm works...

whats that other arm company out there, Rooster something?
