/forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gifHey guys, well i am just pulling my rig in after winter, to put on my ORD crossover steering and highsteer arms. Thing is, i want to put my Zero-Rate Add-a-leaf up front and push the axle forward 1.5" to extend the wheel base just a little bit, at the same time clearing the fenders a little more. It has 6" TCI front spring and the HD Extended ORD greasable shackles, with the crossover steering and highsteer arms, how much can I move the axle forward before I run into contact problems, or any other forseable issues that I missed.
Thanks /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

my truck is not the same as yors, but i run 6" skyjacker springs, a 1" 0 rate moving axle foward 1.5" and ord crossover with the d60, and i have no problems at all.

The problem you run into with the crossover highsteer is that the pitman arm can get into the tie rod, so I'm not even sure you'll be able to run the axle offset 1". The 7" of lift might get it high enough to work, but I think the 1" will be the max, if you can move it forward at all.
I thought I had a pretty cool K5 for a highschooler and all I had was a stompy 383 in a 3" lifted '82 K5, you really do have a cool K5!
