i found a d60 diff cover...some sort of alloy and 1 piece stamped w/tapered head bolts, but i can't locate it now, anyone seen or know the cover i'm talking about?

that sounds familiar, but can't remember where i saw it and cant find it...i remember they claiming it was some uber strong alloy and machined flat on gasket surface and had tapered head bolts

i found crane...all their covers are green...the 1 i saw was silver(aluminum color, but not aluminum) may have been 1 unpainted?? i've got to start bookmarking stuff

Hmmm, I have Crane covers front and rear and they're both black :dunno:

Its a wonder what spray paint can do :haha: (they come unpainted)

They are made of cast 4340 chromoly steel and are pretty much the best out there IMO :pimp:

There are lots of other very strong covers on the market (often thicker, heavier, without protected bolts, etc.) and many are cheaper than Crane.

I really like Cranes covers because they are probably at least as strong as most while being lighter and having a unique structure. They are lifetime warranty (not that anybody really breaks any aftermarket cover).

They aren't the choice of too many people on CK5 and I can appreciate that too, to each his own ;)

Im running a Crane 14FF and a Ruffstuff D60 cover up front.
