curious on what is the correct method for dealing with the 3" spring pad on the rh hand side with 2.5" wide springs using factory center pin hole I have a gap between the housing and spring plus end up with another gap on the outer to the u-bolt, before I start grinding the pad down to 2.5 and slightly hoggin the center pin hole out so I could butt the spring against the housing I figured would be best to ask those that have done the conversion
thanks in advance

I just left it where it landed, bolted the ubolts down and called it a day...If you move/hog the center pin over to place the spring next to the pumpkin, it will put the axle off center...

Bolt it down and let it fly. No one mods this and it works fine.

What they said^. DON'T ream out the center pin hole. All kinds of chaos will ensue. It will be tight, but it should fit. Once the center pin is in, bolt it up. Doesn't matter what the spring width is at that point.

bolt it in and don't forget to re-torque the u-bolts/studs periodically.
