ok, based on some research and questions that were answered in the forum (thanks guys), I think my d60 front doesnt have the clips that seem to hold the caliper in place (when i go over bumps the bastards rattle like its the end of the world!)....they were ordered immed, and just came to my door today!

with that said, does anyone have a d60 caliper thread out there they can link to this post, or even a step by step way to get all those parts in there? I looked at the packaging and it really doesnt do much....so I figured Id ask here....any help?

i have worked on my stepsides front hubs, brakes before...but a d60 is new to me.

thanks for your time in advance!

they basically the clips that keep the caliper from sliding around. right now, whenever i go over any bumps the calipers clang and make hellacious noise...

i posted awhile back and was told to pick up some parts from parts america, h5519 from raybestos...

any ideas?

take the little holder out (one held in with the allen bolt deal) then you'll see a grove in it that the little spring clip will site in then slide them back in between wallaper and backing plate together then but bolt back in.

what about the other parts that came with this kit? when you look at the picture in the link below, im curious where the little c-clip (in the bottom right) goes, as well as determining which curved spring (black or silver) goes where....

sorry to be such a newb but i dont want to get this thing FUBAR'd one week before my big camping trip!!!!

The little c clip will go over one end of your inside pad and will make a squealing sound when your pads get wore down to a certain point. As for the other clips I have only ever saw one and it was the dark one,but that might have been because it was covered in brake dust. You will only use one curved spring per side.

PERFECT! thats what i needed!!

now will this help my caliper from being able to slide around? i remember searching and seeing something about caliper bushings on a d60...could that be a prob?

SYMPTOM - while its still all together, im able to move it by hand (front to back) and duplicate the clanging...when im driving and hit a bump its loud as hell, but when i hit the brakes it goes away...will these parts help, or something else?

any other parts i should check while im in there tomorrow? thoughts?

thanks for the quick responses, 1tonmudder....btw love the avatar...just noticed

i generally put a light coat of never sieze on those slide/spring and callapers bracket so everything can slide smoothly. A bi goes a long way too, don't get carried away and get on your rotr/brakes,
