I honestly tried the search feature first, but anyway does anyone have feedback on the Lock-Right locker in a front D60. Will it hold up to 35 or 37 inch tires and a small block?

Mine held up to 36's, a 460, and about 7500# of military ambulance trying to break it. :D

you'll be fine.

My best buddy is running a lockright in his D60. He had 37" MTR's 40" MTR's and never had a problem and he now has 40" Maxxis Creepy Crawlers with no-issues to date. He has a SBC, Doubler, and 4.10 1 ton's.

I know a guy who broke one with a 6K rig and 42's but he is the only one I know of breaking one.

i had one in a truck with sbc, 465/205, 38" cut boggers for about a year and a half. took it out and now it's in my 85 with a 383 and q78(36" super swampers). i noticed some wear on it when i switched it from one to the other, although it's had a hard life and i wouldn't hesitate to buy another one which i will to put in my blazer with 1 tons.

I've had a Lock-right in my D60 for years now with 13/38 and now 39.5x15 Swampers and it's survived through breaking an inner (OEM neck-down) and 2 30-spline stub shafts with no apparent issues. I do know two guys were broke theirs but both were heavy fullsize trucks with big-blocks and 42" tires.

Sounds like it will be just the ticket for my application, thanks for all the response.

It's too close in price to a detroit to have a noisy lockrite in the rear, most people choose detroit for the rear 14ff's.

i have a lock rite in the front of my 60 as well as 2 other friends.. lock rite in the rear.. LOUD friend has one in his yota.. stupid loud.

I had one in my k-10 12 bolt rear a while back (03) and everytime someone rode in my truck, they said something about the noise (clicking) all the time and always asked if the truck is ok or if the noise is normal.

When i built my 1 tons, i knew a lockrite was NOT going in the rear. BTW, a lockrite installs the exact same way a detroit does in a 14bff.

mine has held in the front for 5-6 years with 40s, doubler and big block

problem with the rear lock-rite, because it was in motion all the time...? as opposed to a front one, because normal driving wouldn't have it under load, right...?

i was wondering about a lock right too... no need for a detriot in my 14 - she's Welded...!

I have one in my 14b. It is stupid loud but you cant argue with a $100 locker... :D

If you have the cash go detroit or even arb. You wont regret being able to be open on the street.

Okay...how about the 14 Bolt Lock-Right, any experience with them?

I'm running a lock right in my 14bff. I was able to get it for a song and it's holding up well behind a bbc 402 well so far...
