will a detroit that was for 4.10 gears, work with 5.13 gears? or are they different?

the carrier size is smaller but if you get 5.13 thick gears it will not be a problem

yes if you get the thick gears you can use the 4:10 detroit

You can use a ring gear spacer to put 5.13s on the 4.10-down Detroit. The ratio break is 4.10/4.56 for the diff cases.

Exactly ... there are NO thick gears for a standard rotation D60. You either have to have the correct locker/carrier, or use a spacer.
