d60 question

I'm pretty sure there is a company that makes brackets to mount 1/2ton or 3/4 ton calipers on the dana 60 then you could mount 15" wheels. I will try and get the company name for you

awesome, i need those brackets too. i need to get rid of these damn 15" rims...i had to grind on my "3/4 ton" 10b with 4" backspacing.that wasnt fun. i cant imagine what grinding a 60 would be like:rolleyes:, ill spend money to save myself a couple days.

I bought some off of ebay for like $95. Now I run the same rotors, calipers, and pads front and rear.

Wouldnt going to smaller calipers and rotors just make it harder to stop? I would rather have more stopping power and spend no money to grind, then not be able to stop as well and have to spend the $90 for the brackets and $$ for the rotors and calipers. Just my .02

Lets see. You run 3/4 ton calipers on the rear when you disc a 14ff. Also people (myself included) run up to 44s on a 10 bolt 8 lug front with the same calipers from the factory. I don't see where people think you're losing stopping power when you put 3/4 calipers on a D60. Its all factory fitted for our size trucks. If its not safe then it should be illegal to sell anything over a 31" tire to those with 1/2 and 3/4 ton axles. The only thing I would think that would make a difference between 1 ton and 1/2 ton braking is the hydro boost that came on diesels and 1 tons, which I run.

Thanks for clearing that up for me
