d60 rear

I also forgot to mention that it is very common to see cars pushing 500-600 hp at the drag strip running with 10 bolts and 12 bolts with great success. Then how is it that a 79 blazer for example....pushing out a measly 175hp with a stock carb'ed motor...can easily snap a 10 bolt or 12 bolt offroad???

ok...i am outnumbered here so i am going to take a bow. i will never agree that a 10 or 12 bolt is as strong as a dana 60 off or onroad.

its not, i didnt really see anyone say that exactly, it seems that ppl are just saying that the d60 and the 14ff are different animals, at least thats what i got,
BTW i agree on the drag car vs. offoad truck not being equal,
also even though those cars are making tons of power, most of them make relatively low torque, i think with all the gear reduction some trucks might be puting more touque to the axles then most cars.( i dont know that im right about that but i think i might be)
also those guys running 10/12 bolts in cars probably have at least after market axle shafts. the worst i have seen my bosses friends camero to a 35 spline currie 9inch with 1500 horses is twist the splines, but then agagin this season we get to use better slicks :haha:, so maybe we can do some real
damage:D
just my .02, take it or leave it
