D60 SRW front hubs

I need a pair of hubs for my front Dana 60. Not talking about the selectable hubs. I need the bearing hubs. for some reason, mine do not have the groove for the big snap-ring and this keeps my Warn locking hubs from sealing. I amd tired of having the repack the bearings every time I drive it in wet weather. Whatcha got?

Specs are: '83 Chevy D60 SRW.

These are not easy to find used. You can buy them new from ORD, Yukon gear and axle as well as straight from GMpartsdirect with rotors and wheel studs.

Even if you do have this unicorn set of hubs, I would be willing to bet it would be cheaper to find a shop to add that groove for you than to get new hubs.

I am not in a big hurry to go out in the cold just to satisfy your desire for proof. When I get ambitious, I will get you your pic! LOL. Come on, trust me. There is no groove :-(

Back in the late 70s with an auto they came from the factory with full time t-case and a drive slug and a push in cap. No need for a snap ring groove. I've owned a couple and I've seen many.

Mine don't have the groove either Brian. Remember we had the same problem at Purches? They aren't unicorn hubs. Mines the same way. I'll get pics when I get home.

guess i better go check my 77k30 axle . it had 400/203 with flanges . not checked yet.

scored a early k30 front the other day it also had the cast king pin cap and drive slugs.



but i figured info is good on the forums so i checked the hubs . mine both have groves for locking hub clips. thay were packed full of grease n dirt but were there.

hope this helps someone id there stuff later on .
