d60?

i was at pick-n-pull yesterday and i thought i found a d60 because people on here said that they only use 3 ubolts...well i was looking at an axle with only 3 ubolts but the axle tubes were so skinny, it was about the same as my 10b...is that right? what size ring gear is in a d60 and a d44?

What was it on? I think some of the old dodge Dana 44s had only 3 ubolts go figure. Did it have king pins or Ball joints that is the dead giveaway. Also a Dana 60 has like 3.5" axle tubes.

the tubes on the Kaiser M175 military pickup also had small diameter axle tubes plus a closed knuckle design...STAY AWAY!

one thing i havent really understood was the ball joints and kingpins...i dont know too much about the front axles yet...can someone post pics of the ball joint and the kingpin style axles so i know what i am looking for?

This is a king pin axle notice how the steering arm bolts ontop where the ball joint would be.

ok, so i am looking for those for bolts with the zerf fitting in the middle right? also, where is the "dana 60 bible" i have heard about?
