disk brakes, there are a ton of good places. Best? I don't have that answer, doubt anyone cna really say.
Have to pull the axleshafts out. Pull the spindle nuts off then you can remove the drum/hub assembly.

I have 2 full float Dana 60s and on both of mine the drum is seperate from the hub.The drums are held to the hub with countersunk straight slot screws.Both are from late 60s 3/4 ton Chevys.

My buddy's 61 requires hub and drum removal, same as older 14 bolts.

My Ford D60s in my and my wifes trail rigs both come off like a regular FF14bolt or D70 with the hub.
