D60\'s and drivelines....

When swapping in my 60 I changed everything, so I had to change drivelines... My buddy just picked up a 60 for his 72 K5 and wants to know if he will need a diff front driveline when he puts in a 60? If so, what is the length difference?

I went from a Dana 44 to a 60 and my driveline was too long after the swap.I couldnt even get the u joint in the yoke.

I realized it the night before a trip and had no choise but to shorten it myself (dont remember exactly how much) /forums/images/graemlins/grind.gif /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif /forums/images/graemlins/weld.gif I was a little scared at first but it wasnt too bad

A friend of mine lifted 4" and installed a 60 at the same time and the front driveline was perfect.
