Normal disc brake brackets with new flanges! :thumb: As always, very quick shipping and awesome products from Kert at DIY4x He's an awesome fabritator!! ;) :haha:

Heres a pic of my once stock dually K30 with stock 12 bolt hummer rims and tires on it. I did nothing to either axle, just bolted on the rim and tires. It drives fine, in fact I can actually tell no difference with the way it rides, steers, or stops. Due to the stiff springs and the fact that I can turn the pressure in the tires up to 50psi if need be (for towing or heavy loads (like when my girlfriend gets in the truck:haha:))

No doubt, I have my D70HD torn apart in the garage right now, and I want some pictures and info on how it all went so I can do the same thing.
Wanna get this pig under my Burb this next spring!

Not to hi-jack . . . but how hard would it be to get another set of those caliper brackets and all from ya for the D70HD?

Not hard at all. Give Tracy a shout at the office and she can hook ya up!

You mean the picture above that Mike posted is all it takes to run disc's on the D70HD?
What rotors are used here? How are the brackets fastened to the mounting flange?

BTW, (hi-jack) did you ever figure a price for the twin caliper brackets for my 14FF from our PM's the other day?

So you make a disk brake bracket that will work with a dually Dana 70HD?

MTMike was mixing and matching hubs so i cannot say that this kit will work for a Dana 70HD. We are however working on that as we speak. I never did hear back if what he was doing worked out. On his setup, the flange is tapped 1/2"x20tpi as factory and would be welded on in the correct location. Basically a weld on conversion that can be unbolted later.

My 70HD is torn down for a rebuild and out of the truck . . . I’ll be glad to be a guinea pig and take pictures of the install if that will help?

I'll keep that in mind and thank you!

Same here. I'll be doing the 14B SRW hub swap dance however once my big block is in and running.

hey man, sorry to dig this up, but boz42, could you reload the pics up fo the disc conversion on a d70 dually? im looking into getting a d70 dually to run my stock h1's. can it be done with the drw 70 hubs? that would be the equivalent to running like 3" spacers on 14b right? thanks for the info

i delete the account i had those pics hosted on, let me see i can prolly re-load them here.

if u haven't looked at the thread i posted above, it is one i started some time back. it covers what i did to get h-1's on my rig & gives all the measurements & stuff. u can run h1's on a stock d70hd. u can also make your front & rear equal width by converting the d70hd to srw hubs from a 14 bolt. that is what i did. i bought disc brake brackets from AA MFG. they are like $7ea & modded them to fit the 4" axle tube. i used 10 bolt rotors & disc. sorry only pick i could find. hope that helps. need anything else just shoot.

you say d70hd, but will the brackets work with a stock dually d70 using the stock hubs?
