FYI, in the process of redoing the brakes on my D70HD.
This is not a cheap process. The drums were both over max diameter and replacements were $109 each with my frequent flyer discount.
Wheel cylinders, brake shoes ($100 for the good ones), both e-brake lines, inner wheel seal, pinion seal (putting on u-bolts style pinion), diff cover gasket, Lucas gear oil.

$437!!

Now I spent about 7 hours researching how to swap to discs on the D70HD.
Turns out my only option was not to run dual wheels. I want to run H1 wheels sometime inthe future, but don't have the cash right now for new wheels and tires.

Anyway, just needed to vent a little.
If anybody has any questions about the process, post up.
This is my third full floating axle brake job in about 2 years so I'm getting proficient at it. And I'm going broke too! I've done a 14bff old style with rotor/drum together, new 14bff with discs, and now the D70HD.

Hmmm, I wonder if I could get a new style dually axle with discs at a salvage for $437????

I talked to Dan at RuffStuff to verify. He has a GM dually disc bracket, but you can't use a dually rim anymore.

Must have read your post wrong. Both are for hummer style single rims.
