I just picked up a set of 39.5/18 boggers pretty cheap with some decent tread for my truck. While i upgrade to a 14 bolt and 8lug hubs up front i was wondering what way is it better to drive with boggers so they wear less on a daily driver, iv seen them backwords and normal before and just made me wonder before i installed these. Thanks Kyle

run them normal for about 2-3k miles then X rotate them and run them backwards for another 2-3k miles and repeat imo

rotating them around will help from forming too bad of scallops on the tread. but no matter what they will wear out fast, they are soft tread.

are you planning on wheeling this also? if you have the 10 bolt up front i doubt its gonna last very long

naw its a dana 44 with 4.56 gears and a truetrac but i have leads on a dana 60, iv wheeled it with 38/18's for three years and never broke it, so its been holding up fine, iv blew out two 12 bolts tho so im upgrading to a 14 bolt with disk's. ill take the info on rotating them, the inner tread is about a 1/4 inch and the outters still have a lot of meat on them, picked them up with chrome rims for all 4 for 400 bucks

the pressure the tire says or the correct contact pattern with the pavement?

If you run recommended tire pressure the middle is gonna wear FAST. You will have to play with your pressures front and rear to get a good contact pattern.

I have a K20 thats got A/C and power everthing and I only run 18psi in my 38's on the street I get a nice flat dark wide even patch when I do a burn out

Have you run Boggers on the front before?

Boggers really like axle shafts.

nope and scared to find out why, haha well i know im gonna be breaking stuff so i needa get some spare shafts and iv been looking for a dana 60 but money doesnt allow right now that i got laid off :/

Two things you gotta know about boggers on the street:

Whatever you knew about your truck in WET weather, isnt worth crap now. You will slide on ramps and pot holes wont be good for those behind/around you.

Driving with window down may lead to being deaf in one ear. Or will lead you to having a constant "hoooooooooooowl" in your head.:wink1:

If you wanna know what good tire pressure for your rig is. Just nab some baby powder, full tank of gas, and take it for a 10 min drive to get the tires warm. Then throw powder down in front of all tires. Adjust your tire pressure till your lugs are evenly coated. 30mins of fun, will give you a lot more money in your pocket down the road

i personally love the sound of swampers and im use to loud tires, loud exhaust and all that from my truck now but i have a loud stereo to cover it all up :)

Yep, driving with boggers is like having a crop duster pacing you about 10 feet overhead.

"Huh??? what did you say??? i cant hear you speak louder." ( me after 15 years of loud music, loud exhaust, guns, and Bias ply mud tires)
