Probably. I would even bet it is a simple fix. In the interest of time though, I would like to yank it out and replace in-kind. I will eventually rebuild/repair and have as a spare.

Have you crawled under it to see if maybe your t case linkage is working correctly?
If not, maybe the coupler splines stripped out.
