hey guys so i just swapped 42 tsls on my 60 and man does she ever DW!!!! holy cow i just about drove off the road soo much shaking yes i have dual steering stabs and i have the shim on the spring already didnt make ANY diffrence so now is it 6* neg caster or Pos. caster that i need that could possibly fix this????:eek1:

Someones making new steering arms that do away with the kingpin springs , supposed to get rid of death wobble . I think WFO .

well currently not gonna do the histeer arms but i added a 1/8" washer onto the pass side kingpin should i shim the other side as well then try it or what? cause i know all that does is just preload the spring more

Always do both sides. It will be worse with only one side shimmed.

I put 2 fender washers under each cap.

Hydro assist is a good possible solution. You taking about adjusting the degree shim under the spring pack. I have a friend with a Toyota that solved his DW by removing the degree shim.

i put a track bar on and that cured the death wobble problems that i had, now i can drive the truck at 75 mph no problem and thats with 52's in the front

hmmm do you have pics of your track bar setup? id be interested in seeing it! thanx dude

i don't have any pictures right now, but ill try and get some this weekend, i know mine not ideal because the track bar is mount opposit of where it should be but that just causes bump steer which the steering stablizer takes care of

Toe-in another 1/8 inch and see how much better it gets. If you don't know what that means, make the leading egde of the rims 1/8" closer together than the rear. / \ as a very rough reference of how it looks from the top.

An alignment that is a hair off, will be more apparent when you go to larger tires. I toed-in a little more than a 1/4" before my DW went away.

UMMMM steering stabilizers don't take care of bump steer.
