hey i keep hearing how strong the dana 300 is. i know its an iron case like the np205 but smaller.
my question is can it handle the power and weight of a full size? i haven't seen it done before.

The 300 can be made stronger with some 32 spline outputs but a 205 would be the better choice for a K5.

If you take a 300 and put it next to a 205 the size difference is enormous.

Sure they can survive in a Jeep, but they break alot more than most think.

Unless you get gears upgrade shafts different this different that.

The reason AA started on the atlas is because Jeep guys were breaking 300s alot and needed a good replacement that would stand up to more power and bigger tires

:waytogo: That said, I just put a flipped Dana 300 w. 32 spline outputs in my Jeep. Hoping it holds up to a V8 and 1 tons.
