Dana 44 6-lug to 8-lug

if nothing else, the way prices are for the parts to convert; it may be cheaper to buy a complete axle
Ruffstuff charges $59 for a Dana 60, 3/4 ton, disc brake brackets or $400 for the complete conversion kit and it includes brackets, calipers, pads, hoses, etc... all we need to do is convince them there is demand for the 10-bolt/Dana 44.
There was 4 or 5 at the yard near my house recently.
@JohnNoble I'm not sure where you are in MT but my buddy just posted up an 8 lug front in Sheridan.

Yes, the R&P, axleshafts and such are all comparable - at least for the later "big bearing" D44's. The 10-bolt is basically GMs copy of a D44, so they could build it internally. From the spindles out, you can swap parts between them.
