Dana 44 bare front housing, $40 (shipping probably not worth it)
Just make sure you keep the bearing caps with the axle and on the right sides otherwise the whole thing would become junk.

Would you take less without the locking hubs? I just got a new set of superwinch lockouts. What exactly are you refering to when you say "internal style hub assemblies"?

I have a sale pending on the 8-lug outer parts.

By internal style hubs, I mean the smaller looking hubs that came on '77-up 3/4 tons and all 1/2 tons.

The external style hubs are the large style 6-bolt hubs, found on pre-'77 Dana 44's on 3/4 tons.

I have a set of external style hub assemblies and all the 3/4 ton converstion parts, minus hubs, that I'd sell for $100.

Would those external type hubs work with my 10 bolt axles?
If you looking to convert from 6 lug to 8 lug? The answer is yes, but you need to know what parts to keep from what axle. The spindles, bearing hubs, backing plates, bearings, lock outs and stub shafts would need to come from the older small bearing 3/4 ton axle (I'm sure Allan has all of those parts with what he is selling). You would want to keep your current inner axleshafts and connect them to the stub shafts from Allan, preferably with new u-joints.

You can use either your current non-flat top knuckles or the older flat top knuckles either way, but the tie rod attaches differently on the flat tops from what you have now, so you need to keep them as matching pairs.

That's what I was afraid of. I was hoping that I could use my tie rod with the flat tops. What is different between the stub shafts, aren't they both 19 spline? I know the D44 external hub shafts are 19 spline.
