so i found out a few chiped gears and i went on randy's ring and pinion but couldnt find a ring and pinion set in 4:10. if anyone knows ley me know, and since i figured if im going to have the gears apart i might as well put a locker in. what is a good locker for the front end? i know i cant afford an air locker but what else is a good afordable locker?

thanks cody.

Did the ring gear get damaged? I have ran the aussie locker lunch box style. I had really good luck with it if it was just the spiders why not just get a locker and i might have a set of 4.10 il have to check what i have.

The 4.11 gears will work fine. Why are you looking for a ring and pinion if your spider gears were chipped?

4.09 - 4.10 - 4.11 have all been used in that setup over the years. its fine.

you dont want say 3.73 and 4.10 that would be bad.

hate to say this but over the years i have seen more ring and pinion damage in 10 bolt and dana 44 when 4.10 - 4.56 - so on are used hard core.

if you are going to run this and beat on it and want to spend the cash 1 time i would my self if me just go dana 60 and be done if front or 14ff rear.

my self when i first started doin trucks i had 4.10 dana 44 and 14ff with 38" tires. droped 2 sets of 4.10 in a 44 front. then swaped to dana 60 and never had a single problem since in stock form. :waytogo:

hope this helps.

well i did some research last night and im think im just going to throw a new ring and pinion in and just lock the rear, the reason im goin with the 44 is that the truck is just a hunting truck, i dont wheel any thing crazy enough to justify the coin i would put in a d60, the truck is going to be running 35's.
