Just want to pick some brains here please so bear with me 
I'm currently building a BBC for my 77 K5. My intent is to run some sand drags and do some high speed dirt/dune wheeling. I have purchased the following to aid in my endeavor:
- Dana 44 Auburn LSD with 4.11 Gears and WARN manual hubs/spindle nut kit
- Dana 44 Master bearing kit
- GM Corporate 12 Bolt Detroit Locker with 4.11 Gears
- GM 12 Bolt Master bearing kit
My question is...What all else do I need (or should I get) to make sure, or at least try to help bolster this set up. Aside from getting 1 tons...
I was thinking a Traction Bar from ORD and welding the shaft to the housing would help with wheel hop. Does it help with rigidity? Would chromoly axle shafts make a difference?
I like the idea of 1 tons, but I already purchased so much for my current set up and I am not trying to add more weight.
