I put the? There cause I'm not for sure what it is.. there is a clicking noise almost like the front diff doesn't have oil (it does just filled it 80W90)... here it is; while driving on pavement unlocked there are no issues.. when I lock the hubs there's this strange clicking noise while in 2 wd and hubs locked..And they heat up pretty good if I drive with hubs locked on dirt roads in two wheel drive conditions... 4x4 works good..normal???

Nope.
Something in there needs attention. Time for exploratory surgery

The t case has 80W90 in it but its weird there is heat on the hubs and that noise
Heat is an indication of a problem in the hub system. Maybe the bearings are too tight or worn. Clicking could be the hubs or maybe the axle shafts

Where was your c clip that broke? It only heats up while driving off road with the hubs locked..they stay cold while driving with them unlocked which tells me the bearings are ok (I may be wrong) but how can I clean the 80w90 out of the t case and put the proper atf in it...could it be the hubs need to be regressed to fix the heat issue

If it's a 203 or 205, 90w won't hurt it.
Pull the plug. When it stops, add ATF

If they run cool unlocked, and heat up locked, odds are its your spindle bearings.
They make a greaser for that, but if the bearings have been run dry enough to get hot, its best to change them. After that, pick up a spindle bearing greasing adapter and a couple of tubes of grease.
It takes a lot to grease them the first time.

Oh, and while you have the spindles torn down to the spindle bearings, check your axle U-joints. Good possibility that is the source of the clicking.

NP-203's were intended to have motor oil in them, not gear oil, though many did get 80W-90 and it didn't seem to kill them...it's claimed thicker gear oil cant get up into some of the bearings and excess wear occours, but who here has had that happen ?...

NP-205's could use Dextron or gear oil with no problems--never tried using gear oil in a NP-208 or NP-241,cant say if they would have issues using gear oil..

the clicking i was talking about was my hubs thought it was front diff too, took to mech and asked him to look at it and he said when i pulled up it was coming from hubs, turns out a c-clip was broke and my hubs get hot too just thought is was part of friction

You don't need C-clips in the front axle - the things that hold the ends of the axles in the spider gears. Are you talking about the snap ring on the axleshaft out near the hubs?

I know it clicked like crazy, like putting a metal car in a bike spoke

I know that @Fordum didn't exactly ask,
but he was hinting at the question,,
Do the hubs get the same temperature running in 2wd, (unlocked) ??

You have to determine if it's the heat from the brakes, or something to do with having the axle shafts turning. Or the wheel bearings..

I once had to show a guy with a suburban how his driving style affected the hub temperature. I drove farther than he did and had lower Temps in the hubs, with his truck. This was to prove that I didn't have the wheel bearings too tight.

I can't figure out how to edit my post on an iPhone but anyways I swapped my hubs to mile markers from plastic warn hubs and the left hub was very WARN out (get it?!) I been messing with it and now it is permanently locked... it had two snap retainer rings and a big spring behind the hub assembly it looked like the best attempt made by a tweaker for a home fix of a busted hub....that's where the meddling sound came from. As for the heat I'm not sure but they look a little dry of grease. So what kind grease should I put in them? The left one has some green grease in it and the right not much but I think some water is getting in...

bearing grease, for the wheel bearings they say not to put a lot of grease hub itill not work right.personally ou cant have to much grease inside there

I'm not packing the wheel bearings I'm wondering what grease to put in th hubs.. the left hub had green grease...is there anyway I can post a picture from my phone to here?!
