dana 44 question

i have an 8 lug dana 44 in the font of my 78 k5. the other day she ate the spider gears and messed up the carrier a bit i have a 44 axle out of my dodge are the carriers interchangable i think they are both 19 spline shafts... also if i can, what are the cutoff gears for the carriers thanks in advance

I bet the dana 44 in your K5 is 30 spline and unless the 44 from the dodge is really old, it should be 30 spline too.

The dodge carrier will work and the cutoff is between 3.73/4.10
