I ordered a new DANA Spindle Nut Kit for a Dana 44 and oddly it doesn't fit my 1974 Blazer spindle

I really wanted to replace the spindle nuts with real Spicer nut kit, but I am not sure why this kit doesn't fit. It starts to thread and then doesn't. The chinese Dorman nut I bought does work but they don't have the nut that has the pin.

I really want the correct Spicer kit

no..threads are clean...the Dorman fits perfectly and smoothly

I found the GM part number in the GM Illustration Catalog, it is GM Part 2403629

What about a burr on the threads in the nut? Does either nut work?

no, they are both the same..and clean
