i jsut got a wild thought about this.... i kno you can swap the outers from a 6lug dana 44 to a 8 lug outer... but heres my question... can you swap to the half ton brake set up for the 15 inch rim as well....

the reason i ask is cause i have a set of 15 inch rims and tires that i want to be able to run as well...

The calipers are the same, just the bracket that mounts the caliper is taller. You can run 15" on a 3/4ton axle, but I don't think you can run 1/2 ton stuff on 3/4 ton brakes. Maybe I'm wrong.....dunno.

15's will clear 3/4 ton stuff even w/ 4" os BS. you might, i say might, need to graze the calipers with a flap wheel to remove any casting ridges that could touch the wheel. ask we how i know. now did you mean you have set of 6 lug 15's?

no sir.. i figured i could get away with it.. my buddy has a few sets of rims and tires on 15 inch rims for his ford that we swap over to trucks for different classes when we race the trucks.. and swap over vise versa and what not...i got a set of 16.5 boggers that i run and a set of claws that are 15 that i want to be able to run as well

8 lug rotor 1" bigger dia.

if steel wheel rims for 8 lug x15 then easy fit. if aluminum then a bit harder.
