dana 44 to dana 60

thanks man i appreciate it, i searched and the 14 blt bible didn't have it and there are no like core d44 guides..

anyone have the insight on the steering?

I cant remember but I think a 44 is at the 6:00 or 12:00 position. If you are going to run the stock steering arm on the 60 it needs to be at 9:00. You may need to get a 2WD box. The difference between the boxes is a 2wd is clockable at 3:00, 6:00, 9:00 and 12:00 and a 4wd is only at 9:00. Some one chime in if I am wrong, its been a while since I messed with a 44 or a stock 60.
 
for a 6" lift, the steering stuff i used was a 3" block with longer studs to mount it, and a 3" drop pitman arm. Factory style drag link worked, and the factory steering box worked.

Here is a pic of me removing it for crossover and doing kingpins, the studs and 3" block are probably still on the knuckle in this pic:
