Does anyone make a truss set-up for a DANA44? weld-on, bolt-on, custom, don't know. I know I should just put bigger axles in, but I got too much rapped into what I have now.

time for a 60 huh?
I maybe jumping the gun here, I'm looking at my ball joints,they seem to be moving more than they should. they are not that old, though I replaced them about 3 years ago and this is not daily driver. I'll keep look'in at things, I'd rather look stupid here than have a bent housing.

I broke a D60 last year while jumping. The tubes didn't bend but the housing cracked and split where the rosette welds were on drivers side. I didn't have the time or money to do another D60 so I rebuilt a D44 and used a Con-Ferr bolt-on truss kit. I believe that they have two kits, one with a skidplate and one w/out. I bougth the one with the skidplate for around $100(? Don't remember exactly). Go Rhino also had one but it seemed so bulky and it looked like I would lose some clearance. I still urban jump the truck everyonce in awhile and haven't had any issues w/ the D44.

Big tires wear out 1/2 ton ball joints VERY quickly.
Ball joints shouldn't have any noticeable play in them.
I guess your right. It does'nt seem that long ago that I repaced them, but I have'nt had 35"s on there before. Beats a broken axle. who makes a quality ball joint... SPICER?
I just put the Moog ones in mine, they have the grease alimite cocked to the side on the top BJ so you can grease it very easily.
