Dana 60 35 spline?

Is there an easy way to tell if a D60 is 35 or 30 spline? I mean without opening it up?

I assume we are talking GM 60's

The inners are 35 spline and the outers are 30 spline. I am fairly certain that they are all that way. The change was the later 80's shafts dont neck down like the earlier ones.

The axle is out of a 1985 GMC Crew Cab DRW. A friend is planning to go pick it up and asked if it was 35 spline or not. I wasn't sure and figured I would ask you those who know...You guys. I know mine was 35 spline but I wasn't sure if there were other spline counts in these things.

I will see if he can get the BOM off the axle. He may have to do some scrubbing. That's good for him though. LOL
