you are the first one to get one silly. you asked about it first. jolane pm'ed me about wanting to be the 4th one to get one so I pm'ed him back to let him know he was, but that I was still working on them.

You guys without the skills/tools/opportunity to make these for yourself better snatch these up right away before he decides to start charging what they are worth. That price is VERY low and barely covers materials, much less time (which is not much with the right tools, but still). And your also getting it from a guy who things that "more than a thou' off nominal is sloppy work". :D I would order one myself since it would make better financial sense than making one on my own small lathe, but I enjoy making stuff myself too much so it tips the balance the other way...

thanks Russ, fortunatly for me this is does NOT have to be a precision made tool. it just needs to work properly. which it will. mine has worked perfectly every time. to do this at home would take WAY more time then it did.

I have 3 lathes setup to do this tool. 1 has jaws bored that holds the handle barstock for turning with out putting dimple marks from the chuck jaws. bored jaws hold the stock and spin its true.

2nd lathe for turning the driver barstock which I turn one up on each end of the stock then go take it to the saw and cut each end off then just reload it and turn up each end again.

the the 3rd lathe is for facing off and drilling and chamfering for the flat head cap screw. it too has bored jaws to it loads the part for the 2nd opperation, and spins it square and consentric to the first side. these are easy to make but labor intensive. but ofcourse I love this machining stuff. :D

THERE ARE NO MORE AVAILABLE AT 20 DOLLARS. I WILL POST THEM IN THE VENDOR FORUM FOR SALE SOON. THANK YOU

Robert

Got Mine Too!

Mine arrived today and man, this thing looks great! My wife looked worried when I pulled this giant metal phallic looking thing out of the box, but then I explained that it was for the blazer and she just muttered something and walked away, but like any good tool, it may have more than one use.:D
