I have a 81 chevy dana 60 I am rebuilding. Everything is going great but i am not sure on how to rebuild the large single piston calipers. I am sure there is a thread on it some where but i can find it. Also who makes a nice after market dana 60 tie rod. I am doing a hi steer with a pcs hydro assist system. Any assistant would be greatly appericated.

ORD and WFO both do the beefy DOM tubing. ORD will thread the tube for you and WFO will sell you the inserts to be welded. My drag link is this way. My tierod is ORD.

Also, picking up a pair of remans at the auto parts store is pretty cheap, like $30 each. Turn in your core though, that's more $$ than the purchase.

I agree, reman calipers are cheap and faster than rebuilding.

i just bought calipers at pepboys for $22.99 each, and used a 20% off coupon on top of it...

WFO sells nice threaded tie rods, with milled ends for a wrench. I will be buying a new tie rod from them in the next month.

sweet thanks for the info guys. did they come with new locking hard ware?for the brakes? or do i have to us the us spring and screws ext?
